BiographyMichael Schwerner (November 6, 1939 – June 21, 1964) was an American civil rights activist. He was arrested and murdered by the Ku Klux Klan and the Mississippi police, alongside James Cheney and Andrew Goodman, who also worked for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE).
