*On side with rooster, the lost inscription, in Jawi script [Arabic script adapted to Malay], would have read تانه ملايو (tanah Melayu, Land of the Malays). On the other side, ساتُ كڤِڠ satu keping (a keping is type of coin, like a dime or a shilling). ‘Satu keping’ means ‘one keping’.
