Label TextThis Algerian head ornament was likely purchased for a bride by her parents and would have been worn wrapped around the forehead as a diadem on and after her wedding day. Made of silver, brightly colored enamel, and imitation coral, this headdress is characteristic of the Kabyle people, an Amazigh (Berber) ethnic group along the Mediterranean coast of Algeria.
